The Zoo

We were able to fit in one last trip to the Maryland Zoo. We were able to see Baby Sampson--the new baby elephant that was born in March.

They also had camels again. Kyla got to ride one and we got to see the baby--Mocha.

The first summer we moved here we went to breakfast with the girafees where Kyla got to feed the girafees. That was the first time they did it and it went over so well that last year the price had tripled so we didn't do it. They then decided to build a girafee feeding station so you can feed the girafees anytime. They finally got it done so Kyla and AJ got to feed the girafees. We didn't know how AJ would do but he watched Kyla then went right up and did it himself. He was so fast I almost didn't get a picture.
This is the first time we've been to the zoo and seen the Rhino's up moving around. They are usually lying there like rocks!

And of course we have to ride the carosel while we are there. AJ really likes it and isn't too happy when the ride is over!
