Merry Christmas

We had a fun Christmas.  We did lots of baking before including making Gingerbread Houses--which is one of Kyla's favorites.  We had some friends over and the kids had fun decorating their houses.

Santa brought the kids sleds, hats, and gloves.  AJ really like his sled and sat in it for most of the time while we unwrapped presents---getting out only when the present was too big or to get a ball.

We got the kids a mini-trampoline that makes noises when they jump or counts how many jumps.  We put it together in the playroom and then wrapped a small box with a note telling them to go look in the playroom.  Kyla was pretty disappointed when she opened the box--at least until she read the note.  Now she loves going down and jumping until it gets to 100.  She will be getting plenty of exercise even in the cold weather!

AJ got several train sets for Christmas--which is perfect because he just started to become interested in them and even says "choo choo".  This one is a GeoTrak train.  It has a remote control so it goes by itself--but he's not too interested in that he would rather push the train around the track.

Kyla really liked the Mermaid dress-up dress that Adam's mom made for her.  She's getting more into dress up now that she has little girls to play with so this will be perfect.

Here is AJ with his other train set---a Duplo Thomas the Train.  So far he is more interested in taking the blocks apart and having us put them back together--but I'm sure one day soon he will be able to put them together himself, or at least we are hoping!

Kyla also really enjoys all the Barbie Diamond Castle stuff that she got from my parents.  She is just starting to get into Barbie and really likes the Diamond Castle stuff.  She has bought the two main dolls herself with allowance money and other money she has received.  Now she also has the castle and carriage!

We had enough snow left in our backyard to take the kids out and pull them around on their sleds.  I guess Mom and Dad will be getting lots of exercise pulling them around.  We are just hoping that we get some snow soon so that we can actually go sledding!

Adam's brother Brent and his wife, Wendy, were able to come down for Christmas dinner.  We had a nice time visiting with them!  It is nice having them closer and being able to see them more!  Our kids are very spoiled by their relatives and are enjoying all their new toys.  We are very fortunate to have such wonderful people in our lives to help us celebrate the holidays.  It was nice seeing all our family during the holidays this year!!
