AJ really enjoyed Day Out With Thomas!! Kyla enjoyed it too, but it was nice to do something that was more focused on AJ.
AJ wasn't quite sure about standing next to Sir Topham Hatt, so Kyla had to stand in between them. I'm just glad that he didn't refuse--hopefully we'll be as lucky with Santa :)
The volunteers were walking along the train before departure offering to take pictures. Its always nice to get a family picture.
We were impressed with the Colorado Railroad Museum in general. I've never been to one so I didn't really know what to expect. But they had a garden train area with about 6 miniature trains going. Of course, one of them was of Thomas. They also had several old trains that the kids could get on and ring the bells and look around. We plan on going back when its not so crowded and the kids can look around more.
For the event they had this Thomas made out of Legos. They also had story time and a play area with all the different types of Thomas trains that you can buy. AJ wasn't good at sharing so we didn't stay at the play area for very long--and amazingly he didn't cry when we left :)
They also had a fire engine for the kids to look at and walk through. The fire fighters were handing out hats, stickers, and fire safety coloring books.
