Easter Egg Hunts

Kyla was very excited that we were able to go to 2 Easter Egg Hunts this year.  The first one was at the Butterfly Pavilion.  They had special eggs shaped like butterflies, bees, lady bugs, and green bugs and each kid got to find 1 of each.  It was really neat because then kids didn't just have to pick up four eggs--but actually had to search for the different ones.  They also had information about some of the bugs/butterflies and their eggs and if the kids/parents found all the clues and filled out the paper they got another egg.  Like did you know that tarantulas will lay 100-1000 eggs in an egg sac--I'm so glad that I learned that!

And we always like seeing the butterflies!
The other egg hunt we went to was on the base--where Adam works.  The kids got free breakfast at Burger King and the Easter Bunny came for pictures.  Then they had the egg hunt outside.  Unfortunately it rained--but the kids had fun!

Kyla was in the 5-8 group and even though she took off at a run she only got 1 egg.  They told the kids they only got 5 eggs--but many didn't listen (not surprising with this age).  One boy was nice enough to give Kyla another egg-even though he only took 5!
