Here is a picture of Yoda in our van. As you can see he wasn't very accessible so we did not get him out for any pictures. We even forgot to get a picture of him before we put him in the van. He is now staying with Adam's brother and we will retrieve him after we have a house to put him in.
The trip went well, except for the flat tire and rain in Kansas. We went out in the morning and the tire was flat. I was glad that it didn't happen while we were driving. But we did have to spend an hour at Walmart that morning getting it fixed. Unfortunately we aren't able to carry a full size spare for our van because it goes underneath and it would hang too low. The worst part about it is that we seem to always have tire problems. We've had it for almost 5 years and this was our 4th flat tire!
We are now waiting in a hotel until we close on our house which will happen Oct 7. We did get a 1 bedroom suite. When we booked it we were hoping that we'd have room for an air mattress so the kids could take turns sleeping on it and the other could sleep in the king size bed with us. Unfortunately it is too small and their isn't enough room. So Adam and I decided we'd just sleep on the hide-a-bed. It barely fits but isn't too uncomfortable---but after 2 weeks of this and then 1 week of an airmattress I will be very glad to get our bed back!!!!
We were able to schedule to have our household good delivered to our house but they were all booked up for the week we close so we will have to wait until Monday Oct 13. But there is 1 room that I'm hoping to get painted before we get our stuff so I guess we will have plenty of time.
Adam's office here had their fall picnic on Thursday so we were able to go. We were able to meet many of his co-workers and some of their families. Kyla was excited that there was a 4 year old girl (Madeline) there. Her dad and Adam will be on the same team so we might end up doing stuff with them often. They also have a 6 year old boy, Alex. Tomorrow we will be going to dinner at Adam's bosses and Madeline and her family will also be there so Kyla is excited to play with her new friend again.
