Saturday afternoon we went swimming at Cherry Creek State Park Reservoir. Kyla brought a friend and all the kids had fun. AJ did not like the sand at the beach last summer so we have been trying to get him use to it so he can have fun in Hawaii. We have a sand box that he will play in--but he usually sits on the side and will only touch the sand with shovels. At first he was NOT wanting to walk in the sand or touch it with his hands---but by the time we left he was okay with it. He even went walking out into the water once, but was quickly wanting to go back to shore.
Kyla on the other hand LOVES sand and swimming. She's more than okay with getting wet and sandy.
